Linkz upgrade drives data security enhancements
Linkz-IM, the mobile marketing technology platform, has made a significant security enhancement to Linkz Campaign Manager, the powerful microsite creation and analytics tool for brands to manage mobile campaigns.
Over 200 changes have been made to the code in the Linkz Campaign Manager, increasing its computing power and making it even more robust and resistant. The security enhancements are an integral part of a product wide security and performance review as Linkz expands its customer base across retail, print and agency markets.
The security upgrade is automatically built into Linkz version 2.0, a major new technology upgrade released in June. Linkz version 2.0 repurposes existing EAN barcodes and QR codes on labels, packaging and printed materials, meaning brands can add customised information for consumers to scan without needing to amend the physical packaging.
Emrys Williams, Chief Technology Officer, Linkz-IM Ltd said:
“As Linkz opens up to more customers, we need to be confident that our data and our customers’ data is absolutely safe and secure. These changes are deep inside our business-critical code and our customers won’t see anything new, which is just the way we want it. However, this upgrade is an important step in laying the foundations for Linkz’s continued growth.”
